execution notes for shaft treatment:

Surface treatment of the shaft has to be done acc. DIN 3760 and ISO 6194 / 1.

surface quality of the shaft: "plunge grinded"
under consideration of following surface roughness: Rt =1 - 4 acc. DIN 3760
Ra = 0,2 - 0,63 µm
Rz = 1,2 - 3,0 µm acc. ISO 6194/1-2007
Hardness of surface: nominal 45 HRc
minimum 30 HRc
The data shown above is based on long lasting experience in the manufacturing and use of sealing elements.
As there are many unknown possible parameters and conditions in practice, which may limit standard performance, it is requested that the user runs practical tests.
